Samantha McKenzie is a licensed independent social worker specializing in children, adolescents, and adults. She received her B.S in Psychology from Coastal Carolina University and received her Masters in Social Work from the University of South Carolina. Samantha specializes in those with ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, body image issues, and eating disorders. She takes a person-centered approach where she focuses on establishing trust, safety, and strong rapport with her clients. She utilizes several therapeutic modalities including: play, CBT, ACT, and ERP. Samantha also enjoys working closely with clients’ families by providing psychoeducation and family therapy when needed. She helps her clients and families learn better ways of communicating and relating with one another. Samantha creates a non-judgmental and safe place for her clients to process deep feelings and learn new coping skills. When Samantha is not working she enjoys playing tennis and spending time with her husband and two dogs.
