SUMMER READING INTENSIVE PROGRAM!

June 15 - August 15

Our Reading Intensive Program is designed to help children of all ages and abilities get back on track with their reading skills, and not risk getting further behind during the Summer Break (aka “The Summer Slide”). ILLUMII has once again teamed up with Fast ForWord, a research based-online reading program that takes advantage of neuroplasticity and can help your child improve reading skills including decoding, sound-symbol connections, oral fluency, and comprehension. AND, this game-based program also works on developing executive functioning skills -working memory, processing speed, sequencing and more! Through at-home practice, along with 1:1 weekly tutoring, we can help your child unlock the potential of their learning abilities and have them reading at grade level or above by the end of the summer.

For parents who need more flexibility during the summer, this program is perfect! Your child will work virtually for the majority of the program, and 1:1 tutoring can take place in person at either location (Winston-Salem, NC or Mount Pleasant, SC) or online - or a combination of both!

ILLUMII Pathfinding Group is a holistic educational resource in Mount Pleasant, SC and Winston-Salem, NC. Our professionals have decades of experience and include psychologists, speech language pathologists, counselors, academic coaches, tutors, ADHD coaches, advocates, and behavior consultants.

The experienced professionals at ILLUMII provide coordinated support to equip your child with the knowledge, tools, and guidance to achieve their education and life goals.

If you have a child struggling with reading due to Dyslexia, ADHD, Autism, Auditory Processing Disorder, Pandemic Slide or any other reason, our Summer Slide Reading Intensive program may give them a 1-2 year gain in 40-60 hours of practice time. They’ll be ready to slide into the new school year confidently!

WHAT TO EXPECT

📚 Fast ForWord Diagnostic assessment to determine present skill level.

📚 Through the assessment, your child's individual strengths and challenges are identified.

📚 An individual learning plan is created specifically for your child.

📚 Parents receive 1:1 training to support their child as they work through the Fast ForWord program.

📚 One-on-one tutoring with one of our multi-sensory, Orton-Gillingham-trained reading specialists (1X or 2X/weeks based on number of sessions selected). Tutoring can take place virtually or in person.

📚 Weekly Progress Reports

📚 At home, your child uses Fast ForWord for 20 - 40 minutes/day - 5 days/ week to supplement, practice, and reinforce the concepts they are working on with their reading specialist (access through 9/1/2023).

📚 A final report is provided to document summer learning.
